Just a few suggestions for truckers stuck in Fredericksburg,VA..
TS at Exit 133 (17N) good parking.
Fredericksburg has the most beautiful park in VA called Alum Springs Park. A MUST for all truckers with Wife, Dog, Kids, etc. have to bobtail though...
Directions from TS @133. 95 S to X-130 (Rt. 3 East) towards Fredericksburg 1 mile. Go under Rt.1 1st light take Right on Greenbrier Rd. to end. You have to park in Greenbrier apartments parking lot on left. Walk down street (1/8 mi) to river and suspension bridge. The park also has cliffs, large playground, cookout grills, and a Civil War train track bed used during war.
Also Fredericksburg has 2 large shopping malls across the street from each other (15 Movie theaters, huge LOWES, Target, Sears, Best Buy, bookstores, restaurants, hotel, supermarket, small amusement park (putt-putt golf, racecars, video arcade). Directions from TS @133. 95 S to X-130 (Rt. 3 West) towards Culpeper. Take 1st Right or 2nd Left (1/4 mi. off of I-95)
Off I-81 North, towards Roanoke, there is a T/A Truckstop with showers, TV room, game room, plenty of fuel stalls and 2 restaurants (Subway and Country Pride). "A real trucker paradise."
