(West Fargo, N.D.) - E.W. Wylie Corporation, a Daseke company, is celebrating its 75th anniversary during the month of September.  The company plans to host an open house and picnic at its corporate offices in West Fargo, N.D., on Thursday, September 19, from 3-7 p.m. "We at E.W. Wylie are so excited to be celebrating such a major milestone in our company's history," said Kay Lupkes, human resources director for E.W. Wylie. "There will be several vendors and customers on-site as well as fun activities for everyone.  

The company's 75th anniversary celebration will also include a pig roast and several giveaways, including anniversary t-shirts, lapel pins, bumper stickers, imitation tattoos and bandannas. The company will give special recognition to their "Wylie Tough" drivers in conjunction with National Truck Driver Appreciation Week throughout the week and during the event.  E.W. Wylie's corporate offices are located at 1520 2nd Avenue NW in West Fargo.       

Founded in 1938 by E.W. Wylie, the company was owned in the earlier years by R.G. Lyngstad.  In the 1960s, the company primarily hauled sugar beets and transitioning into flatbed operations in 1982. E.W. Wylie's heavy haul division was added in 2008. Three years later, Don Daseke purchased E.W. Wylie from Ottertail Corporation. The company currently has over 240 employees with 268 trucks in operation and has locations in West Fargo, N.D.; Houston, Texas; Sanford, N.C.; and Bentonville, Ark.  Sister companies include Oregon Truck Co., J.
